We are writing this letter to first say Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We are hoping that Ward Six and our Salem neighbors will be opening their hearts again this year. Ward Six has been an active supporter for many years and we’re hoping we can count on your support again this year for the Christmas Angels.
Some teens in our support programs will not have families to visit or gifts under the tree this holiday season. We know that times are tough, but donating an inexpensive Christmas Angel gift means we can ensure a smile on every kid’s face on Christmas Day.
Corporate supporters, who previously donated Christmas Angel gifts for 10 to 15 of our teens, have opted to instead donate to national organizations – and so this year, we fear some of our kids may not have a present under the tree.
Creative Cakes has come to our rescue, generously donating a hand-crafted gingerbread house which will be raffled to raise funds to purchase Christmas Angel gifts for which we lack sponsors.
The drawing will be held on December 21st.
Raffle tickets are 3 for $5, and can be purchased by check from Rosemary O’Connor (978-745-3281), 111 Mason Street, Salem MA. Please make your check out to Mack Park Neighborhood Association and include your contact information in the envelope, so we can notify the winner.
We would like to thank you and wish everyone Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We appreciate your time and generosity for the many years of support.
If you’d like to donate a Christmas Angel gift, please contact me, Patrick Foley, at 978-235-1661.
